According to Albert Breer, free agent S Dwight Lowery visited with the Indianapolis Colts.
The news shouldn’t come as a surprise, as GM Ryan Grigson has acknowledged that the team is looking at free agent safeties. ย The team only has one clear starter at the position — 34-year-old Mike Adams.
Lowery, 29, spent last season with the Falcons, and had a decent season despite the secondary’s struggles overall.
Before Atlanta, Lowery spent three seasons with the Jets, and three seasons with the Jaguars.
In 2014, Lowery appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 79 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, a recovery and five passes defenses.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated asย as the No.38 safety out of 87 qualifying players last year.
