Georgia OLB Jarvis Jones Could Be Dropping Down Draft Boards In The Coming Months

Georgia OLB Jarvis Jones is widely regarded as one of the best prospects in this year’s draft class, and even though he’s put together multiple impressive seasons in the SEC, he could be one of the prospects dropping down draft boards in the coming months.

Charlie Campbell of WalterFootball.com reports that scouts that were in attendance for the East-West Shrine Game mentioned that there a number of concerns regarding the highly touted Jones.

The scouts mentioned that Jones is not “a good workout guy” and probably will not test well at this year’s NFL Combine.

Jones also has a medical condition known as spinal stenosis that he suffered as a freshman at USC. Doctors at USC suggested that he consider retiring from the game, which prompted him to transfer to Georgia.

Jones put together an incredible season in 2012 that included 85 tackles, 14.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, and one interception.

We have Jones currently listed as the No. 3 best prospect on our Big Board and we have him going to the Browns in our recently updated 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
