Giants Hosting S Tre Boston & S Johnathan Cyprien For Visit

According to Ian Rapoport, the Giants are hosting S Tre Boston for a free-agent visit.

The Giants are also hosting S Johnathan Cyprien, per Adam Schefter

The Giants have an open slot on their roster after suspending S Kamrin Moore following domestic violence charges.

The market has been surprisingly slow-moving for Boston, who is clearly among the best available free agents. The veteran said he’s comfortable waiting for the right option to come up.

The Browns and Raiders came up as potential options back in March. The Giants would also be a strong fit, as GM Dave Gettleman drafted Boston back in 2014 with the Panthers.

Cyprien would also be another strong fit for the Giants. He’s received interest from the Eagles and Colts this offseason after a torn ACL ended his tenure with the Titans.

Boston, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2,625,468 contract when the Panthers cut him in 2017.

Boston later caught on with the Chargers shortly after the 2017 draft. He agreed to a one-year contract with the Cardinals for the 2018 season.

In 2018, Boston appeared in 14 games for the Cardinals and recorded 79 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble and nine pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 24 safety out of 93 qualifying players.

Cyprien, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $5,469,104 contract with the Jaguars before signing a four-year, $25 million contract with the Titans in 2016.

Cyprien was set to make base salaries of $4.5 million and $5.5 million over the next two years of the agreement when the Titans released him a few months ago.

In 2017, Cyprien appeared in 10 games for the Titans and recorded 57 tackles, one sack, no interceptions and a pass defense.
