The Giants announced they have promoted DB Rashaan Gaulden from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday.
Gaulden takes the roster spot vacated by CB Janoris Jenkins. New York also signed DE Kevin Wilkins to the practice squad.
Gaulden, 24, was drafted in the third round by the Panthers out of Tennessee in 2018. He was in the second year of a four-year, $3.44 million deal and was set to make a base salary of $595,250 for the 2019 season when the Panthers waived him a few weeks ago.
In 2019, Gaulden appeared in nine games for the Panthers and recorded two total tackles.
