The New Giants announced Thursday that they’ve released rookie DB Chris Williamson from their practice squad.

Williamson, 23, was drafted by the Giants in the seventh-round out of Minnesota in 2020. He signed a four-year, $3.37 million rookie deal but was waived by the team coming out of camp and signed to the practice squad.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his two-year college career, Williamson recorded 90 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one interception returned for a touchdown and seven pass defenses in 23 career games.
