The New York Giants officially signed OL Adam Gettis to their practice squad on Tuesday and released OT Laurence Gibson and RB George Winn from their practice squad.
The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Darius Powe
- DEÂ Stansly Maponga
- DE Ishaq Williams
- CBÂ Donte Deayon (injured)
- G Jon HalapioÂ
- DB Michael Hunter
- WR Kevin Norwood
- DB Christian Bryant
- DE Jordan Williams
- OL Adam Gettis
- OL Adam Gettis
Gettis, 27, is a former fifth-round pick by the Redskins in the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons in Washington before signing on with the Raiders’ practice squad. The Giants decided to sign Gettis off Oakland’s practice squad in December of last year.
New York later made him one of their final roster cuts as they trimmed down to the 53-man limit but added him to their practice squad after clearing waivers. The Giants promoted him to their active roster in recent weeks before waiving him last week.
In 2015, Gettis appeared in one game for the Giants.
