Schwartz, 28, suffered a dislocated toe in preseason and has subsequently spent this season on injured reserve.
What remains to be seen however, is where New York will play Schwartz. ย He has experience across the offensive line, though he will most likely occupy one of the guard spots. ย With rookie Weston Richburg needing repetitions at left guard, it seems likely that Schwartz could replace RG John Jerry.
Either way, Schwartz will likely find his way into a starting role on an offensive line that is really struggling.
Schwartz signed a four-year, $16.8 million contract that included $6.2 million guaranteed with the Giants back in March.
