The New York Giants officially waived DE Evan Schwan from injured reserve with a settlement on Friday.

Schwan, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Giants waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.

During his senior year at Penn State, Schwan recorded 59 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, a forced fumble and four pass defenses over the course of 27 games.
