On Monday, Jaguars HC Doug Marrone announced that Cย Brandon Linder is undergoing surgery for a knee injury and is out for the season.
You can expect the Jaguars to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
Linder, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2014. He was entering the final year of his rookie contract when he agreed to a six-year, $52.4 million contractย that included $24 million guaranteed with the Jaguars last year.
Linder stands to make a base salary of $5.5 million in 2019.
In 2018, Linder appeared in nine games for the Jaguarsย and was rated byย Pro Football Focusย as the No. 7 center out of 35 qualifying players.
