Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley announced Tuesday that defensive end Jason Babin had surgery on his groin Tuesday morning.
Bradley added he is hopeful Babin will be back by the time Training Camp begins for the Jaguars.
Babin, 33, was acquired by Jacksonville last year after the Philadelphia Eagles cut the former first-round pick in November. He was claimed by the Jags.
Babin recorded just seven sacks in 2012 after notching 18 in 2011. On the wrong side of 30, his production will be in question. He should get plenty of chances in Bradley’s hybrid 4-3 scheme to pick up his stats.
