Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jaguars are promoting CB Sidney Jones to their active roster after DB Jarrod Wilson sustained a hamstring injury in Sunday’s win over the Colts.

The Jaguars have confirmed the news and announced that they’ve placed Wilson on injured reserve list. They also signed CB Josh Nurse and RB Craig Reynolds to the practice squad and released CB Amari Henderson from the unit.

Here’s the Jaguars updated practice squad:

  1. RB Nathan Cottrell
  2. TE Ben Ellefson
  3. LB Nate Evans
  4. TE Matt Flanagan
  5. LB Joe Giles-Harris
  6. WR Terry Godwin
  7. WR Josh Hammond
  8. T Kc McDermott
  9. T Austen Pleasants
  10. DT Caraun Reid
  11. G Tre’Vour Wallace-Simms
  12. P Brandon Wright
  13. WR Trey Quinn
  14. RB Darius Anderson
  15. TE Charlie Taumoepeau
  16. CB Josh Nurse
  17. RB Craig Reynolds

Jones, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2017. He was in the final year of his four-year, $6.14 million contract that included $3.814 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $1.3 million for the 2020 season when the Eagles waived him coming out of training camp.

The Jaguars quickly signed Jones to their practice squad after clearing waivers.

In 2019, Jones appeared in 12 games for the Eagles and recorded 22 tackles, two interceptions and passes defended.
