Jaguars Releasing RB Alfred Blue From Injured Reserve

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran RB Alfred Blue from injured reserve on Monday, according to Mark Long.

Blue was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason with an ankle injury.

Blue, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,337,932 contract with the Texans and re-signed with the team on a one-year deal for 2018.

Blue signed with the Jaguars this offseason on a one-year deal.

In 2018, Blue appeared in 16 games for the Texans and rushed for 499yards on 150 carries (3.3 YPC) and two touchdowns to go along with 20 receptions for 154 yards receiving.
