The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed OL Brandon Thomas to their practice squad on Monday, according to Mike Kaye.
The Jaguars’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Tim Cook (Injured)
- DE Hunter Dimick
- OL Avery Gennesy (Injured)
- TE David Grinnage
- OLB Carroll Phillips
- DT Darius Kilgo
- WR Larry Pinkard
- DT Marcus Hardison
- G Oni Omoile
- RB Brandon Wilds
- DB Charlie Miller
- OL Brandon Thomas
Thomas, 26, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2014. He spent just over two years in San Francisco before he was traded to the Lions in return for WR Jeremy Kerley.
However, Detroit elected to cut him loose less than a week later and sign him to their practice squad. Thomas returned to the Lions on a future/reserve contract this past January but was, unfortunately, among their final roster cuts.
The Lions re-signed him to their practice squad but decided to release him last week.
Detroit broughtย him back and added him to their practice squad a few weeks ago.
Thomas has yet to appear in an NFL game.
