Jaguars Sign P Ryan Quigley & WR Shane Wynn

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed P Ryan Quigley and WR Shane Wynn to contracts on Thursday, according to Ryan O’Halloran.

Both players were trying out for the Jaguars this week, and appear to have shown enough for them to secure an opportunity for the team’s upcoming training camp.

Quigley, 26, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2012. He lasted just a few months in Chicago before catching on with the Jets in 2013.

After three years with the Jets, Quigley signed a one-year contract with the Eagles a few months ago. However, Philadelphia cut him loose in late May.

In 2015, Quigley appeared in 15 games for the Jets and totaled 2,855 punt yards to go along with a 36.5 net punting average and 27 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.

Wynn, 23, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in May of last year. However, he lasted just a few months in Atlanta before he was claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

Wynn was unfortunately among the Browns’ roster cuts coming out of the preseason, but later caught on with the Jets and Chargers. The Saints added him to their practice squad close towards the end of last year and later brought him back on a future/reserve contract.

New Orleans elected to place Wynn on waivers close to a month ago.

During his time at Indiana, Wynn appeared in 48 games with 36 starts while recording 189 receptions for 2,189 yards receiving to go along with 20 touchdowns.
