Jaguars Waive/Injured RB Jonas Gray & Claim DT T.J. Barnes

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they’ve waived RB Jonas Gray with an injury designation and claimed DT T.J. Barnes off of waivers from the Bills.

Should Gray clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list.

Gray, 26, wound up signing on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame back in 2012. He lasted over a year in Jacksonville before he was cut loose at the start of the 2013 season.

Gray played for the Ravens, Patriots and another stint with the Dolphins before the Jaguars signed him off of the Jaguars’ practice squad in Dencember of last year.

In 2015, Gray appeared in eight games and ran for 176 yards on 45 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 76 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Barnes, 26, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech back in 2013. he lasted just a few months in Jacksonville before he was waived and later signed to the Jets’ practice squad.

The Bills actually signed him off of the Jets’ practice squad in December of last year before placing him on waivers Tuesday.

In 2015, Barnes appeared in 10 games and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
