Mike Garafolo reports that the Jets are bringing in QB Trevor Siemian for a visit on Wednesday.
According to Chris Tomasson, Vikings were trying to re-sign Siemian on Tuesday, but they’ve since been linked to Sean Mannion, so it appears as though they’re considering a few options at backup quarterback.
Siemian, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015. Denver traded him tot he Vikings last year for a 2019 fifth-round pick.
Siemian played out the final year of his four-year, $2.33 million contract and is now testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2017, Siemian threw for 2,285 yards while completing 59 percent of his passes to go along with 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 36 quarterback out of 39 qualifying players.
