ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the New York Jets have placed S Jim Leonhard on season-ending injured reserve.
Leonhard suffered a torn patellar tendon during yesterdays win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Another tough break for Leonhard who wound up suffering a season-ending leg injury last season as well. Leonhard is set to hit free agency so his previous injury history could impact the amount of money that he’s offered in the coming months as well as the number of teams interested in him.
