Jets Place Second-Round Tender On Quincy Enunwa

The New York Jets announced Wednesday that they’ve placed a second-round tender on restricted free agents free agent WR Quincy Enunwa.

The original-round tender gives the Jets the right of first refusal for any offer he signs with another team in free agency. However, the Jets would not receive any draft pick compensation if they were to decline to match the offer, considering that Enunwa was an undrafted free agent.

Enunwa, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1.995 million and made a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season.

Unfortunately, he was placed on injured reserve in August after he suffered a season-ending neck injury.

In 2016, Enunwa appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and caught 58 passes for 857 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
