Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Jets have released veteran LB A.J. Edds on Tuesday.
Edds, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Miami Dolphins back in 2010. He spent time with the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts before signing on with the Jets this past May.
Edds was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he joined the team just a few days later.
He has appeared in four games and recorded just one tackle.
