The New York Jets announced the signing of sixth-round pick DE IK Enemkpali to a four-year contract on Thursday.
The Jets have been making a good deal of progress getting their rookie class under contract this week as they have already signed Dakota Dozier, Jeremiah George, Quincy Enunwa and Trevor Reilly.
Enemkpali was a first-team All-C-USA selection in 2013. Over the course of four years at Louisiana Tech, Enemkpali totaled 148 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, 17.5 sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
He could have a hard time carving out a role with the Jets given that he is undersized and posted a less than spectacular forty time of 5.01 at this year’s Scouting Combine.
