Jets Sign LB Jamari Lattimore

Update:

The Jets have already announced the signing of LB Jamari Lattimore on Wednesday.

———-

The New York Jets are signing former Packers LB Jamari Lattimore to a contract, according to his agent Tony Agnone, per Tom Silverstein.

The Jets previously hosted Lattimore for a visit, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition before the draft.

Lattimore, 26, returned to the Packers last year after they used a low-round restricted tender that paid him a salary of $1.431 million for the 2014 season.

Lattimore is an interesting free agent give that he’s young and has shown some flashes of ability.

Unfortunately for him, he sustained a season-ending ankle injury back in December that led to him being placed on injured reserve.

In 2014, Lattimore recorded 37 tackles, one interception and a pass defense over the course of 11 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 30 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players.

  1. Hope his luck changes for the better with the Jets…seemed like every time he started to get on a roll he got injured. Thompson has really cleaned house at ILB this year.
