Adam Schefter reports that the Jets are signing former Ravens and Buccaneer WR Breshad Perriman to a one-year deal for worth up to $8 million and includes $6 million guaranteed.
Perriman will serve as the Jets’ replacement to Robby Anderson, who signed a deal with the Panthers earlier in the day.
Perriman, 26, is a former first-round pick out of Central Florida by the Ravens in the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent over three seasons in Baltimore before he was cut loose coming out of the preseason.
The Redskins signed Perriman to a contract during the season, but elected to waive him loose after. The Browns later signed him to a contract and he finished out the year in Cleveland.
Last year, Perriman agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract with the Browns before asking the team to let him out of the agreement so he could sign with the Buccaneers.
In 2019, Perriman appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and caught 36 passes for 645 yards receiving and six touchdowns.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
