Jets Waive S Dion Bailey From I.R. With Settlement

The Jets officially waived S Dion Bailey from injured reserve with a contract settlement on Friday.

Bailey, 24, signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in May of last year. He’s been on an off of the team’s practice squad, but was brought back on a future/reserve contract back in February.

Seattle elected to waive him last year, but he was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets. New York placed Bailey on waivers with an injury designation earlier in the week, as they cut their roster down to 75 players.

In 2015, Bailey appeared in seven games and recorded 22 tackles, a half sack, no interceptions and two pass defenses.
