The New York Jets brought in five free agents for workouts on Monday, according to Aaron Wilson.
The full list of players includes:
- LB Alec Ogletree
- DB Walt Aikens
- QB Alex McGough
- WR Hakeem Butler
- WR Jaleel Scott
Ogletree, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Rams back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $7.03 million contract and later signed a five-year, $42.29 million contract with the Rams.
The Rams traded Ogletree to the Giants in 2018 for a fourth-round pick and a swap of late-round picks. New York opted to release him this past February.
In 2019, Ogletree appeared in 13 games for the Giants and recorded 80 tackles, one sack, one interception and six pass defenses.
We have him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
Butler, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2019. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $3.3 million with Arizona.
However, Butler was placed on injured reserve last year before being waived this past weekend.
During his college career at Iowa State, Butler caught 110 passes for 2,149 yards receiving and 18 touchdowns over the course of 34 games and three seasons.
