Jordan Raanan of NJ.com, citing a sourceย with knowledge of the situation, reports that the Jets are working out former Giants WRย Corey Washington on Tuesday.
According to Raanan, there’s a “good chance” that the Jets will end up signing Washington to a contract.
It’s worth mentioning that the Jets are also working out WR Terrelle Pryor on Tuesday, so they’re clearly taking a look at receivers following the injury to Eric Decker.
Washington, 23, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Newberry back in May of last year. He lasted just a few weeks in Arizona before he was waived and later claimed by the Giants.
New York wound up releasing him from injured reserve with a settlement a few weeks ago.
In 2014, Washington appeared in 14 games and caught five passes for 52 yards receiving and a touchdown.
