Justin Hunter’s Felony Assault Charge Reduced To Misdemeanor

Titans WR Justin Hunter had hisย felony assault charge has been reduced to a misdemeanor on Friday, according to Gabriella DeLuca.

Hunterย turned himself after a warrant was filed in relation to an incident that occurredย earlier in July.

The Virginia Beach Sheriff’s office lists the charges against Hunter asย “malicious intent, stabbing, cutting andย wounding” the victim.

Police responded to a call ofย aย large fight in which aย victim was to aย hospital for injuries sustained during the incident.

Hunter, 24, still has two years remaining on his four-year, $5.424 million rookie contractย and stands to make base salaries ofย $898,104 and $1,144,656 over the next two years.

In 2014, Hunterย Hunter appeared in 12 games for the Titans and recorded 28 receptions for 498 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
