According to Howard Balzer, the Detroit Lions worked out five players on Tuesday including former Packers S Josh Jones.

- DE Jesse Aniebonam
- DE Andrew Ankrah
- DE Markus Jones
- S Josh Jones
- CB Jeff Richards
Jones recently met the Vikings and Bills.
Jones, 24, was a second-round pick by the Packers out of North Carolina State in 2017. He’s entering the third year of a four-year, $4.2 million deal and was slated to make base salaries of $849,856 and $1,042,284 the next two seasons when Green Bay waived Jones with a non-football illness last week.
Jones passed through waivers unclaimed and is now an unrestricted free agent.
In 2018, Jones appeared in 13 games for the Packers, recording 55 total tackles, one sack, no interceptions and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 70 safety out of 93 qualifying players.
