Lions Place DL Da’Shawn Hand On Injured Reserve, Promote WR Travis Fulgham

The Lions announced on Thursday they have placed DL Da’Shawn Hand on injured reserve and promoted WR Travis Fulgham from the practice squad to the active roster.

Hand, 24, was selected in the fourth round by the Lions out of Alabama in 2018. He’s in the second year of a four-year, $3,141,964 contract that includes a $681,964 signing bonus.

Hand stands to make base salaries of $660,000 and $750,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2019, Hand appeared in three games for the Lions and recorded six tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.

Fulgham, 24, was a sixth-round pick by the Lions out of Old Dominion this year. He signed a four-year deal worth $2.7 million and was set to make a base salary of $495,000 in 2019 when Detroit cut him loose earlier this season.

Fulgham later returned to Detroit on the practice squad. He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his four-year college career, Fulgham caught 128 passes for 2,044 yards and 18 touchdowns in 39 career games.
