Lions Place DL Jason Jones On IR, Sign DL Andre Fluellen

The Detroit Lions officially placed DL Jason Jones on season-ending injured reserve after it was determined that he has a torn patellar tendon.

  • The Lions signed Andre Fluellen to their roster on Monday to replace Jones.

Jones, 27, signed a three-year contract worth $9.5 million back in March. Jones offers great versatility, and adding him to an already formidable defensive line figured to cause a lot of mismatches for offensive units this season.

Detroit also signed Israel Idonije to a contract and drafted Ezekiel Ansah with their first-round pick, so they do have some depth to work with.
