ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Detroit Lions have placed RB Jahvid Best on season-ending injured reserve.
Best suffered his second concussion of the season weeks ago and has yet to improve enough to even pass the required tests. It’s been a very difficult season for Lions running backs as they lost Mikel LeShoure during the preseason and Kevin Smith went down with a high-ankle sprain.
Hopefully Best will be able to recover during offseason and return in 2012 but a history of concussion is very unpredictable.
