The Detroit Lions announced Friday that they’re placing rookie TE Hunter Bryant on injured reserve.
Bryant, 21, was a first-team All-Pac 12 recipient in 2019 and was also a John Mackey Award finalist. He wound up going undrafted out of Washington before eventually signing a three-year, $2.28 million contract with the Lions in May.
Bryant managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the training camp.
During his three-year college career, Bryant recorded 85 receptions for 1,394 yards receiving (16.4 YPC) and five touchdowns.
