Lions Placing CB Jamal Agnew On Injured Reserve

Adam Schefter reports that the Lions are placing CB Jamal Agnew on injured reserve with a knee injury. However, there’s a chance they could bring him back later on in the year if the team ends up pushing for a playoff spot.

Agnew, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Lions back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.65 million contract and set to make base salaries of $555,000 and $645,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Agnew has appeared in five games for the Lions and recorded seven tackles, a fumble recovery, a pass defense, 167 kick return yards and 39 punt return yards.

We’ll have more regarding Agnew as the news is available.
