Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that Lions RB Jahvid Best still has received clearance to participate in contact drills after suffering a season-ending concussion close to nine months ago.
There’s still a chance that Best could be cleared in the very near future, but there are obviously no guarantees when we’re talking about something as serious severe concussions. Detroit will have to work on preparing Mikel Leshoure and Kevin Smith in the time being.
