Tim Twentyman reports that the Lions have signed former Jaguars DT C.J. Mosley to a two-year contract.
Adam Caplan reported just a little while ago that an agreement between the two sides was expected to be coming at some point today.
Mosley, 29, visited with Detroit on Tuesday, so they clearly moved quickly to get this deal done. The Lions were believed to be looking for some additional depth at defensive tackle and Mosley should be able to contribute as a situational run-stopper for them.
Detroit is strong in the middle of their defense, but they could really use some help defensive end now that Cliff Avril has departed for the Seahawks and the Lions released Kyle Vanden Bosch awhile back.
