Decker and the Lions were in talks dating back to May and it looks like they were able to get a deal in place to ensure their left tackle stay in Detroit for the foreseeable future.
Decker, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2016. He was in the final year of a four-year, $10.967 million contract when the Lions picked up his fifth-year option last year.
Decker was set to make a base salary of $10,350,000 for the 2020 season and was in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
In 2019, Decker appeared in 15 games for the Lions, making 15 starts for them at left tackle. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 20 offensive out of 81 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 50 – 2021 NFL Free Agents list.
