Lions Sign P Jeff Locke & OT Emmett Cleary, Place OT Corey Robinson On IR

The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve signed P Jeff Locke and OT Emmett Cleary to contracts and placed OT Corey Robinson on injured reserve.

The Lions worked out a group of punters on Monday after they lose Kasey Redfern for the season with a serious knee injury.

Locke, 27, if a former fifth-round pick by the Vikings in the 2013 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year rookie contract with Minnesota and reportedly had several teams interested in him this offseason.

The Colts signed Lock to a two-year, $3.45 million deal with $1.25 million in guaranteed this past March. Unfortunately, the Colts cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Locke appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded 74 punts for 2,946 yards and three touchbacks.
