The Detroit Lions announced that they’ve signed P Kyle Christy to a contract on Monday.
The Lions will now have a competition between Christy and Sam Martin this summer.
Christy spent four years at the University of Florida and was a first-team All-American in 2012. During his college career, Christy totaled 7,914 yards on 181 punts (43.7 average).
This will be Christy’s first opportunity with an NFL team.
