Lions Sign RB Dalyn Dawkins To Practice Squad, Release DT Albert Huggins

The Lions announced Thursday they have signed RB Dalyn Dawkins to the practice squad and released DT Albert Huggins in a corresponding move. 

Detroit’s practice squad now includes:

  2. DE Frank Herron
  3. WR Tom Kennedy
  4. TE Isaac Nauta
  5. LB Anthony Pittman
  6. DB Bobby Price
  7. DT Kevin Strong
  8. DB Dee Virgin
  9. LS Steven Wirtel
  10. WR/RB Kerrith Whyte (Injured)
  11. LB Kareem Martin
  12. C Marcus Martin
  13. WR Victor Bolden
  14. OT Dan Skipper
  15. C Beau Benzschawel
  16. P Arryn Siposs 
  17. RB Dalyn Dawkins

Dawkins, 25, signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State back in May of 2018. He was waived coming out of the preseason and has been on and off Tennessee’s practice squad since then. 

Tennessee twice brought Dawkins back on futures deals. He was released coming out of camp this year and had a brief stint with the Lions earlier this season on the practice squad. 

In 2019, Dawkins has appeared in two games and rushed for 26 yards on 11 carries (2.4 YPC).
