Lions Sign Vetran OT Lamar Holmes

The Detroit Lions have signed veteran OT Lamar Holmes to a contract on Friday, according to Tim Twentyman.

Holmes, 26, was taken in third round of the 2012. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $2.633 million rookie contract before the Falcons placed Holmes on the PUP list at the start of the season and later cut him loose with an injury settlement a few months ago.

He’s worked out for the Jets, Dolphins and Cowboys since becoming available.

In 2014, Holmes was limited to appearing in just four games for the Falcons.
