Update:

Lions HC Jim Caldwell told reporters on Monday thatย TE Brandon Pettigrew suffered a torn ACLย and will miss the remainder of the 2015 season.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that while Lions TEย Brandon Pettigrew is still awaiting tests on his injured knee, theย expectation is he suffered a season-ending injury.

Birkett notes thatย Pettigrew had been playing well before this injury, so this would beย clearly disappointing for the Lions andย Pettigrew.

Pettigrew, 30, is in the second year of his four-year, $16 million contractย that includedย $8 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary ofย $2.8 million this season and anotherย $3.65 million in 2016.

Assuming this is it forย Pettigrew in 2015, he would have finished the year withย seven receptions for 67 yards receiving and a single touchdown over the course of eight games.

We’ll have more regarding Pettigrew’s injury as the news is available.
