Lions To Sign P Drew Butler, Waive S Gabe Lynn

 

ESPN’s Adam Schefter (via Michael Rothstein) reports that the Lions are signing P Drew Butler to a contract.

Butler, 25, signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in 2012, He was later waived before the start of the 2013 season.

The Bears signed Butler to a reserve/future contract in December, but he lasted only until May before the team waived him.

He appeared in 16 games for the Steelers back in 2012 posting a punt average of 43.8 yards and a net average of 38.3 to go along with six touchbacks that season.
