Lions Tried Out CBs David Amerson & Demetri Goodson

According to Howard Balzer, the Lions brought in free agent CBs David Amerson and Demetri Goodson for tryouts last week.

Balzer adds that the Lions tried outย receivers Johnny Holton, Roger Lewis, Francis Owusu and DeAngelo Yancey on Friday along with QB Paxton Lynch.

Amerson, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2013. Washington waived him during the 2015 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Redskins.

Amerson signed four-year, $38 million extension with close to $18 million guaranteed with the Raiders back in 2016. However, he was released last year and later caught on with the Chiefs.

Kansas City signed Amerson to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million during the offseason, but wound up being released coming out of the preseason.

In 2017, Amerson appeared in six games for the Raiders and recorded 18 tackles, no interceptions, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
