Lions Waive WR Dez Stewart From Injured Reserve

The Detroit Lions have waived WR Dez Stewart from injured reserve with a settlement on Friday, according to Tim Twentyman.

Stewart, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Ohio Dominican back in May of last year but later signed on with the Buccaneers before being waived with an injury designation after just a few weeks.

After clearing waivers, he reverted to the Buccaneers’ injured reserve but was cut loose a month later. He had a brief stint with the Redskins, Packers, and Steelers before signing on with the Lions a month ago.

Unfortunately, Detroit waived Stewart with an injury designation and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.

Stewart has yet to appear in an NFL game.
