Lions Worked Out Eight Players

According to Aaron Wilson, the Lions brought in eight free agents for workouts on Tuesday including CB Breon Borders.

The full list of players includes:

1. CB Breon Borders
2. WR Emmanuel Butler
3. DT Demarcus Christmas
4. DB Evan Foster
5. RB Karan Higdon
6. DE Jalen Jelks
7. QB Brian Lewerke
8. WR Cameron Meredith

Borders, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in 2017. He was cut loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to the Raiders’ practice squad.

From there, Borders had brief stints with the Bills, Texans, Jaguars, Steelers and Washington before the Dolphins claimed him off of waivers. Unfortunately, Miami waived him coming out of camp.  

In 2019, Borders appeared in 12 games for the Jaguars and Redskins, recording 12 total tackles and one fumble recovery.
