ESPN’s Adam Schefter made the comparison on Sportscenter Tuesday between the current quarterback situation of the Miami Dolphins and that of the Tennessee Titans in 2011.
“They will continue to play Matt Moore as long as he’s producing and winning,” Schefter said.
Last year, the Titans selected QB Jake Locker with the eighth overall pick in the Draft. Funnily enough, the eighth pick this year was Miami’s, and they draftEd Ryan Tannehill. Locker sat behind Matt Hasselbeck in 2011, and Hasselbeck led Tennessee to a respectable 9-7. With Miami, they also have another credible starting option in David Garrard, which differs from the 2011 Titans.
On Monday, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said that he expects Moore to start on opening day.
