NFC East Notes: Eagles, Giants, Redskins

Eagles

The Eagles have made the decision to move Halapoulivaati Vaitai to guard after using a first-round pick on Andrew Dillard

“They asked me if I would do some guard stuff and I said, ‘Sure,’’’ Vaitai said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I’m down. I’m not opposed to it. I’m trying to help the organization win. We’re trying to have as many weapons as possible.‘’

Giants

Giants WR Golden Tate says he believes he can play more than just as a slot receiver for the Giants.

“I think that’s the unique thing about me,” Tate said via the New York Daily News’ Pat Leonard. “I can kind of be put anywhere and I can be efficient. I understand the whole route tree. So hopefully I get a chance to show that.”

Redskins

Redskins president Bruce Allen addressed the situation involving LT Trent Williams, who is currently holding out of offseason workouts.

“I know what Trent told me so I know what the truth is,” Allen said tells JP Finlay of NBC Washington. “I’ll leave my conversation with Trent between the two of us.”

“Trent has been a valuable player for us and that’s why we signed him to the contract he has,” Allen added.

When asked about the reported issues with the team’s medical staff, Allen said: “We’re all frustrated with players getting injured. They only see the doctors after players get injured.
