- Tom Pelissero notes that new49ers DE Dee Fordโs five-year, $87.5 million contract can turn into a one-year, $20.5 million deal should they release him next offseason.
- Pelissero adds that Ford will receive $19.75 million fully guaranteed next week, while $25.25 million is guaranteed for injury only with another $13.65 million becoming guaranteed on April 1.
- Pelissero points out that Ford wouldโve been due $15.4 million on a franchise tag from the Chiefs, so he essentially receives a $5 million increase.
- Should the 49ers cut Ford after the 2019 season, he will carry $6.4 million in dead money toward 2020.
- 49ers RB Raheem Mostert‘s three-year deal is worth $8.7 million and includes $3 million guaranteed and an addition $1 million through incentives. (Ian Rapoport)

Seahawks
Seahawks QB Russell Wilson said there is “great potential” for him becoming the NFL’s highest paid player at some point.
โThereโs a great potential of that,โ Wilson said, via The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. โIt would be fun.โ
Wilson added that he feels he could potentially play for “10-15” more years.
โBeing a kid, African-American kid, 5-foot-11, came from Richmond, Virginia, went to a private school, people said I wouldnโt make it in Division I-A,โ Wilson said. โGetting to where I am now, Year 7 going into Year 8, I believe I have 10-15 years left.โ
- As for the rumors of possibly playing for the Giants, Wilson said: โIโm not sure if the Seahawks are gonna let me get away. I love Seattle.โ (B/R)
