Cardinals GM Steve Keim said he came away impressed by first-round QB Kyler Murray during the team’s first preseason game but

“He’s looked the same since we drafted him, since he got through baggage claim in May,” Keim said during his interview with Arizona’s Sports 98.7, AZCardinals.com. “Everything he does just looks different than any other quarterback I’ve evaluated in my time in the National Football League.”

Keim did caution that “in the preseason, you have to be careful how high and how low you get on certain things.”

Packers

Packers HC Matt LaFleur confirmed that veteran G Lane Taylor is competing with second-round OL Elgton Jenkins for the starting left guard job.

“Yeah, that’s a competition. As long as that’s going to be a competition, we want to see those guys go at it,” LaFleur said, via Packerswire.com.

Seahawks

Seahawks backup QB Paxton Lynch put together a solid game against his former team on Thursday.

However, Lynch said he didn’t view this as a revenge game.

“I know that there was some talk that it was about that, but I love those guys,” Lynch said, via Pro Football Talk. “I have a lot of love for a lot of guys on that team, they mean a lot to me. I respect them and love them, they’re close friends to me, so it had nothing to do with that. It was more to me, I had a lot to prove to myself tonight, and I feel like I went out there and did that.”
