Cardinals

Cardinals GM Steve Keim says he has not had any discussions about his job status with team president Michael Bidwill. Keim mentioned that he’s focused on fixing things in Arizona and has a “great plan in place for the offseason.”

“Nothing has changed since the last time you guys asked this question I think … when we played Week 4,” Keim said, via AzCardinals.com. “It hasn’t changed. I come to work every day and do the best job I can. I have a great plan in place for the offseason and I’m very excited in fixing things in all the areas where I think we need to fix and I’m very excited about the future.

“I don’t think there is any question we’ve identified a franchise quarterback, a guy who can put this team on his back and take us extremely far in the future.

According to Keim, they will be in great shape in terms of their cap next year and should have more opportunities to be aggressive.

“We’re going to be in a great situation from a (salary) cap standpoint, the best we’ve been in during my tenure here,” Keim said. “Certainly we will have a better opportunity to be aggressive. I feel like we have a number of pieces on offense moving forward, young players that are our core. I think there is no doubt, because of some of the injuries on defense, some of the players that maybe didn’t have the performance we expected, that we have to address that area on all levels.

“We’re going to have a lot of fun this offseason putting this thing together and building around the core pieces we already have in place.

Rams

The Rams have been increasing RB Todd Gurley‘s workload in recent weeks and he says he’s fine getting more carries at this point in the season.

“It’s been fine,” Gurley said, via ESPN.com. “Obviously, what is it? Week 13, Week 14? Everyone’s kind of feeling the long season. Just got to do what you got to do to get your body right and your mind right for each Sunday.”
