NFC West Notes: Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks

Cardinals

Cardinals LB Hasson Reddick says he’s already established some chemistry with new LB Jordan Hicks this offseason.

“We can feed off each other,” Reddick said, via the Arizona Republic. “Our communication right now is crazy. You would have thought we were in the system for two or three years. We talk. We always talk about things. We’re making sure we know our tasks and we definitely are playing off each other, so I think we’re going to have a good tandem between us two.”

Rams

  • Rams’ strength coach Ted Rath was found not guilty by a jury in Ventura County Court after being charged with three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery from an alleged incident that occurred in June 2018. (Lindsey Thiry)
  • Rath has been on a leave of absence since his January arrest and faced a maximum of 18 months in jail.

Seahawks

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll mentioned that RB C.J. Prosise (core) is “healthy” and is having a “really strong” offseason.

It has been great to see him healthy,” Carroll said, via John Boyle of the team’s official site. “He has been fit throughout, he’s really strong, worked out really hard in the offseason to get his strength right, and his weight is up, but he’s fit and has really been able to do a little bit of everything. So to add him into the competition is really nice. So we’re fired up about C.J. being back.”

Boyle writes that he is unsure who will be the Seahawks’ top running back between Penny and Chris Carson at this point in time. Regardless, Boyle expects “plenty of touches to go around” given Seattle led the league in rushing yards last season.

  • According to Field Yates, Seahawks QB Russell Wilson will receive a $10 million deferred payment as part of his $65 million signing bonus before Monday, July 15th.
